This is an arrangement of the fourth movement from Gustav Holst's “The Planets, Opus 32” for 8 Trumpets (2 Bb Pics/2 C tpts/2 Bb Tpts./2 Flugels). This arrangement represents a complete interpretation of the original movement. No musical segments were omitted. The arrangement uses a broad spectrum of trumpet types to allow for representative timbres and the largest possible octave range (4 complete octaves are utilized). For convenience, alternate B-flat Trumpet parts are supplied if no C Trumpet instruments are available. In addition, there is an alternate E-flat Trumpet part that can be used in place of the C Trumpet 1 part.
